Summer Morning Picnic

I thank God everyday for my children.  They are a joy to spend time with, but I will tell you "They are WORK"  
This year for summer I tried to do something with them to make "summer memories".  One of those memories was  having a Summer Morning Picnic.  

The Menu was : Breakfast Burrito's Chocolate cover strawberries, cereal and fruit bowls. Yum Yum

Happy Mother's Day

To hear the voices of your children say "I love you Mom".  To feel there little hands slip into yours.  To smell the sweet smell of fresh clean faces next to yours.   To see their eyes aglow with love and happiness.      What more could a mom ask for.

Herb Garden

I am so excited about my little project I did over the weekend. I was kind of in a mood and wanted something to keep me busy. (It is great therapy to work with dirt.)

Just in case you want to make one. Here are the steps.

It is several terra cotta pots at different angles with a pole through the drain holes. Then I planted my herbs in each pot. See how easy.

I loved how it turned out and now I have fresh herbs to cook with. (Look out Martha Stewart here comes ME. lol)

Beautiful Smokies

A week ago I got to visit the Smokey Mountains again.  I have seen the Smokies at different times of the seasons.  I am not sure which season I like the best.  All I know is that it is a beautiful place whatever season you visit.

Inner Struggles

Romans 7:18-22

18. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,)dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19. For the good that I would I do not:but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20.Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

For some reason today that scripture has been on my mind.  When I read chapter 7 of Romans.  I started to think "huh".  (Sometimes Paul's writings are so confusing to the tongue and mind.)  Then I read it again. 
How I do understand it more and more.   Life is so FILLED with things that do not matter in the kingdom of God that I put first in my life (because I think that it is important).  But to God it is not.  In my "Inner Struggle"  My heart is in the right place (verse 22) but my flesh is after the sinful things that the devil puts in front of me to keep my mind so clouded. 

I pray that today my mind will be on Him (the Lord) and not on things of this flesh.

A New Beginning

Happy New Year!    Wow!  I can't believe it is a new year already.  Time sure does fly when you get older, but I am thankful for another year.  

I guess I will start this year out with a new beginning (Blogging).  

When I stop and think God has giving me another chance at this thing called life.  It makes one want to try to be a better person, a better child of God, a better wife, a better mother, and so on.   So, my goal for this year is to have a different outlook on life.  When you look around (and see God's love and beauty) you see that you are so small in the scope of life.  But one with God is a majority. 
So, to new beginnings. 

A better out look on life.  A new healthy eating habit.  A new attitude.
